It PAYS to buy-local in Geelong

Every day we, as a community, spend over $1.2 million outside our own region. That’s like exporting 5,000 full time jobs. That’s not smart. To motivate more local consumers and business to buy-local, the business community is joining forces to run a major buy-local Geelong® campaign.

The aims of the campaign are to:

• promote community support for buying locally
• help businesses that take part in the campaign increase sales
• address the threat of factory outlets and escape spending
• increase awareness of the region’s supply capabilities
• boost consumer confidence
